This alloy displays some remarkable properties. It exhibits the corrosion resistant property of stainless steel. Along with that, it provides an excellent resistance towards intergranular corrosion, which takes place after an exposure to temperatures in the range 800-1500 degree Celsius. In that temperature range, it successfully prevents chromium carbide precipitation. It also exhibits good toughness at low temperatures.
